OPERATION SECURE SHRED

The Somerset County Board of Freeholders is pleased to offer county residents a free document shredding program at various locations around the county. Shredding events are held on 10 Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or until trucks are filled to capacity. For more information visit “Operation Secure Shred”.

A MESSAGE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF CODE ENFORCEMENT

The Borough Code prohibits placing discarded materials (trash, debris, furniture appliances, etc.) at the curb to be picked up, unless the appropriate garbage/refuse stickers have been purchased and affixed to the items and placed at the curb during your designated pick up time. Violators will receive a summons, which carries a minimum fine of $150.
Failure to remove the items can result in additional summonses.
Further disregard of the Borough Code will result in Borough removing the items and charging the property owner with the cost of removal in addition to fines.
